For nearly two decades, Usher has been a mainstay in R&B and pop music. With five multiplatinum albums under his belt, including the diamond-certified Confessions, the crooner constantly finds new ways to stay relevant. Ever evolving, the front-runner to MJ’s throne teams up with Diplo to deliver his best work since 2004′s “Yeah!” on “Climax,” a new track released on Valentine’s Day.
Written by Diplo, Redd Stylez and Ariel Rechtshaid, “Climax” finds the singer showcasing his soothing falsetto over the synth-driven beat. Though it’s unclear if the song serves as the lead-off for his seventh studio album, “Climax” is a perfect candidate to, pardon the pun, usher in a sound and side of the singer that has been missing in recent year.
Listen to “Climax” below.
